Sustainability is thriving at the Garden of Resilience thanks to MinimalisaNYC! MinimalisaNYC has partnered with Garden of Resilience since 2022! By providing new and gently used items to be given away during monthly giveaways for the period June- December. During the monthly giveaways Garden of Resilience provides free vegetables to all as well.
Last year Garden of Resilience and MinimalisaNYC were recognized by Greenthumb with a community certificate for hosting the giveaway events. The initiative directly serves as an environmental initiative providing a solution to overfilled landfills and food justice. Both issues that directly impact communities of color.
MinimalisaNYC will host another giveaway at Garden of Resilience on September 14, 2025 from 12-2 PM.
Garden of Resilience will host it’s next event highlighting the garden’s involvement with the NYC Land Based Healing Project. Community members are invited to a Pitch In Party. There will be snacks and the opportunity to help with the maintenance of the garden and free vegetables. All are welcome.
